Hello, I'm Conrad Terry.

Born in Washington D.C., I graduated high school in 1965. I joined and served eight years in the U.S. Air Force. I am a veteran of the Vietnam War. After receiving my Honorable Discharge, I attended the University of The District of Columbia where I earned a BBA in Business Economics and Finance, with a strong minor in Accounting. I went on to earn an MBA in International Business at the American Graduate School of International Management (now a division of Arizona State University). I also earned an MBA in Corporate Finance from DePaul University in Chicago IL.

After college, I worked for the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Continental Illinois National Bank, United Airlines, Department of Justice, and The Security and Exchange Commission of the United States. I am currently retired.

As a part-time professor, I taught accounting, finance, and marketing courses for Roosevelt University, Maricopa County Community College in Phoenix AZ, Triton College in River Grove IL and the American Bankers Association. I am also a licensed substitute teacher for K-12 in the state of Illinois. My first love has always been education. I enjoy teaching/tutoring. Not only do I have the academic background, but I also have the pragmatic experience necessary to teach from a real-world perspective. Personal finance is my subject of choice because I believe it is a topic that needs to be taught at all levels for all people.

My subject is personal financial education that leads to financial literacy. Included in my program of study are the topics of saving and investing for retirement. My experience as a Compliance Examiner for the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States has provided me with a wealth of information that I can pass along to anyone interested in advancing their level of financial literacy.

Let's chat.

Did you miss that Personal Finance class when you were in high school or college? I can fill that knowledge gap.
